Title: The Place Where I Love You
Here's the lyrics. I had to go find my book. Enjoy!
Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
Lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes
And when again they open, the sun will rise
Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.
Deep in the meadow, hidden far away
A cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray
Forget your woes and let your troubles lay
And when again it's morning, they'll wash away
Here it's safe, here it's warm
Here the daisies guard you from every harm
Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true
Here is the place where I love you.
your really good

ReplyDeleteawww... thank you for a new favorite song!! :) luv the books, now i luv this song!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful song. This has always made me cry and think of lost ones, although It makes me happy thinking of this being true
ReplyDeleteI like this one and it maid me cry but on YouTube there's one that will give you an emotional breakdown type in thetributesofdistrict12/ rue's lullaby it's by far my favorite version but nice try
ReplyDeleteamazing dont autotune your voice though
ReplyDeleteaww i am so glad i heard it out loud. this is almost exactly how i imagined it in my head. good job!

ReplyDeletelove <3
ReplyDeleteDeep in the meadow, the sunlight fades
ReplyDeletea sheet of darkness, a cushion of shade
winds may blow harshly, but never here
All is beautiful, don't shed a tear
did you make that up
DeleteLove this song! It makes me so sad! I always think of my loved ones who have passed on. *<3 Rue <3*
Deletethats great I loved this song to begin with but when you put these lyrics with the rest and dont add the chorus but "Deep in meadow" only tho the end it really sounds good i know i write songs for a living.
Deletenice job. its pretty i just don't like the way you used yiruma (im a big fan of his).
ReplyDeletethis is such a sad song when i read this part in the book i cryed
ReplyDeleteI've heard a few versions of what people think the song should be like, and personally i think this is the best one out of them. you chose the perfect song, and i hope they use your version in the movie :) Really great job!
ReplyDeleteThe movie version is okay, but it doesn't make me cry like this one does. They should have used it. R.I.P. Rue, we all love you...
DeleteLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SONG!! It makes me cry every time!! Rue and Katniss are so inspireing!!! Imma try to sing this at the talent show!!
ReplyDeletethis is a very sad song after you read how rue dies it made me cry T_T
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful you have an amazing voice! I actually do like this version more than the one without the auto tune! It's really beautiful! I cried when Rue died and then I cried when I heard this song! Could you do a video for the song 'The Hanging Tree' from Mockingjay with lyrics please?! Thanks for making this one!!!
ReplyDeleteOr could you find 'The Hanging Tree' with lyrics for me? Because I looked and still have not found one with lyrics...Thanks for posting this video again! And the drawing is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can't listen to the whole song, or else I'm gonna burst out crying.</3
ReplyDeleteThis song is so moving. I love it. I am going to do a recording of it on my account: skits000. Check it out and tell me if I am any good...!

ReplyDeleteTHIS THE SADDEST SONG EVER!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOMIGOSH!!! i have seen this on youtube and mockingjay.ney you are amazinng!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewow omg best song ever it made me cry
ReplyDeletei love this song.(sigh)
ReplyDeleteI am a fourteen year old boy and this made me cry. It is very touching and very emotional. Oh, how I wish Rue didn't die. I wish her District was also allowed to live along with Katniss's District. I have a firm heart but I am very soft underneath. I cry at anything beautiful and true, anything that is sad. I love Rue and Katniss. May they live on in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteP.S: Something very sad happens at the end of Mockingjay. When it happened, it made me think about Rue all over again. Post if it makes you feel the same. Share your feelings.
Wish they could make this the actual song for the movie. Listened to it once and it was stuck in my head all day, even when I was taking my anatomy test. LOVE IT!
ReplyDelete*sniff sniff* so beautiful! *starts crying again*
ReplyDeletenicely done, but please give credit to yiruma at least. all you really did was sing the lyrics along with a melody somebody else wrote.
ReplyDeletei dont like the last book. i wish it was more happy and not so many people died. when i finished it i couldnt stop thinking about everyone who died.i love this song so much that i memorized it.if i made these books i would make it way more happy.has anyone read the lost hero by rick riordan?
ReplyDeleteWhen i read this part i almost cried. i don't know why my eyes filled but no tears fell. the emotions stayed with me for a long time after. i felt like crying in L.A. when my friends talked about the book. don't spoil the rest of the series though. My library at school has a waiting list and i probably won't get to read catchin fire untill i reach 8th grade.*Cries uncontrolably*
ReplyDeleteI am on Mockingjay right now. When I read that, it made me cry. Im seeing the movie soon and im very excited. I heard the song and I started to cry uncontrollably too. D: Its so comforting, but is very depressing at the same time <3 RIP Rue
DeleteIn my L.A. class we were talking about who would be who in the Hunger Games and a girl said I would be Rue. *Sniff sniff* I hate the part when Rue dies and this song is just like I imagined Katniss singing it. I practicly cried when I heard this song. <3 this song.
ReplyDeletei <3 the song i listen to it all the time
ReplyDeleteso beatiful... *sniff sniff*
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOODNESS I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THIS SONG!! I LOVE IT SOO MUCH!!! I'M CRYING NON STOP!
ReplyDeleteim only twelve years old and maybe too young for the books but i read them anyways and of course got tears in my eyes when i heard the song pulled off of the pages
ReplyDeleteI am only twelve also but love the books and this song. Suzanne Collins maybe the best writer ever. whenever I hear this song I want to cry because I think of rue and prim and boggs. I would probably be crying if my bros werent right here. I always think of people who died in any book I have read and anyone who has died in reality. <3 rue and prim <3 katniss and Peeta = true love
Deleteicant believe people joke bout this stuff!
ReplyDeleteits too sad i cryed in class at school
At the end of the third and final book, I could not stop crying. Thank you Suzanne Collins for the best series i have ever read. Thank you.
ReplyDeletethis is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. I cried for almost 5 minutes when I first heard this song! it is so powerful!
ReplyDeleteSuzanne Collins is AMAZING! I have had the privilege to meet her and she is so cool!
cried a long time... reminds me of my mom, whos life expectancy is not that long... i dont want more death
ReplyDeleteit takes alot 4 me 2 cry and thai book did...i am a huge fan and if i had the chance 2 meet suzanne collins i would
ReplyDeleteI cried throughout the entire Hunger Games trilogy, it was that good. Suzanne did the one thing thats impossible, the sequels were just as good (if not better) than the first. I cried for Rue. I cried for Prim. I choked up at the end of Mockingjay, not out of sadness, but a mix of hope and happiness. Peace in the world of Panem. Katniss being older with her kids made me think of this song. It made the hunger games feel real. I grew close to the characters. Why infact my eyes are getting watery right now! Good job Ms.Collins. Those books were better than Gregor the Overlander by far. And I do love that series as well. You are a brilliant author and I commend you for that.
ReplyDeleteI really love the song! It really touches my heart... :)
ReplyDeleteEverytime I listen to this song, I cry. I simply love it. I also am teaching myself how to play "Kiss the Rain" but its very difficult. But, it's worth a shot. Anything for Rue. Also, I have one more chapter then I am done with the triology but I don't want to finish it-I won't have anything left to read that is simply so amazing. ♥ (:
ReplyDeleteI love this song and I love the series. You sang it really good. But I am not trying to critisize, but I don't think that was how Suzanne Collins imagined it. I know you were just singing the song and I doubt you were trying to sing it like she wrote it because the wording is different a little bit and Katniss is supposed to sound as if she was crying. Also there is only supposed to be 4 verses total. If you were not trying to sing it like in the book, you did amazing and I cried when I listened to it. If you song that in The Hunger Games, all the Mockingjays would fall silent to listen to you sing. You should try singing the Hanging Tree. Sorry if you thought I was critising you because I wasn't. Thank You.
ReplyDeletewaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this was like so saddy!!!!!
ReplyDeletedid suzanne collins write this song?!
ReplyDeleteIt's BRILLIANCE and I LOVE it!! there is a need for caps.
I absolutely love this song i cant get it out of my head.... and i keep reading the series over and over again i cant put them down!!! <3
ReplyDeleteI almost cried reading the book, so hearing the song made me sooooo sad i actually cried and thought of all my loved ones. I love the character of rue my friends and i picked names out of the series and im rue.
ReplyDeleteI love the hunger games.I love Rue's death the most.I cry every time I read that part or watch the youtube video.
ReplyDelete)': one of my fav piano songs.. i love the book!!
ReplyDeleteI love the book and the song. Its amazing. However since we're all 'fans' here and I suppose I should use that term loosely; Did it not shock anybody else how Rue got this tribute song, yet when Primrose is murdered (and yes it was speculated that she was murdered) she got not a single melody? The only reason Katniss was so attached to Rue is because she was her only link to her gentle sister, someone she loved, while she was in the ring, and now when the Capital murders Prim, all that is gone? I don't know, something I would've thought about if I were Suzanne Collins. I love the Hunger Games and I can't wait till 3/2012
ReplyDelete(tear)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful song! As soon as I heard it, I started crying. I never could've imagined a song this amazing! Needless to say, I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteNooo! Why can't I see the video? *cry* can you please, please send me a link where i can watch it in germany too? ):
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, you picked the perfect song. This make me cry every time I listen to it.Her death was so sad. We all love you Rue! :')
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh........this song makes me cry! It is so moving.....and sad. You are such a great singer!
ReplyDeletei love it love it love it....but where can i find the sheet music?!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteIt's not only Rue's lullaby, it's also Prim's! I cried when Rue and Prim died in the books! This song is so great, I think it's my new favorite!
ReplyDeleteI'v never cried from a book before, so when I got to the Hunger Games series I was shocked that I was crying over a fictional character! I even cried my eyes out when Finnick died, poor Annie! I wonder what Annie named her child? And also I wonder what Katniss/Peeta named their children?
ReplyDeleteMy eyes are gettin watery right now, not so much out of sadness, but happiness for Katniss and her wonderful family! And everyone else since there are no more hunger games!
ReplyDeleteAWWW cute i love rue and katniss
ReplyDeleteomg this is so goooooood. i cry every time i listen to it even im a guy.:) thats how good it was. you are an amazing singer and you rock!!! please make more.
ReplyDeleterue, prim, finnic, everyone else who dies, this song should go to all of them
ReplyDeleteWhere can I find the music note sheet(piano) to "The Hanging Tree"?
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post! I love this lullaby along with Kiss the Rain... it's memorized! :D
ReplyDeleteIt makes me cry...
ReplyDeleteYou think this is sad, go watch Katniss and Rue by MainstayPro on youtube. I cry everytime I see that.
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games are the best books ever written. Rue was one of the most amazing characters in the book. I'm crying now. God, it's so sad. Colllins wrote so well in her book that I felt what Katniss felt when she lost someone. R.I.P to Rue, Finnick, Prim and anyone else who died in the book. I'm dying for the film. This song makes me all tearful. -.-
ReplyDeleteThey're the most brilliant, addictive and haunting books I've read...I love them! <3
I hope this world becomes a better place...
this song brings me to tears but i really like the version in the short film with danielle chuchran
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard it I cried. and my mom was like. why are you crying... he he...
ReplyDeleteWhere can i download it?
ReplyDeleteThe Hunger Games series is possibly the BEST series ever written. I cried a few times through-out the series, but when I was reading very last chapter of Mockingjay and the Epilogue I sobbed. You know you've read a great book when you have emotions for the characters (ex. crying when Rue died)
ReplyDeleteThe Hungers games series had to be the best books i have eever read. I found myself in tears through-out the whole book. When Collins wrote these books she must of worked out how to get us to connect with the characters. I think the hardest i cried was when little prim died, but everytime a character died i found myself in tears. All together its an amazing book <3
ReplyDeleteCollins created a MASTERPIECE, a WORK OF ART. This series made me cry, sent chills in my spine and made me dream of a life like Katniss and Peeta. This song is so WONDERFUL. I wish there was a next book, for I am a fan of the series.
ReplyDeletei love the song but the auto tuning is way over used. kinda makes the beauty go away a little bit...
ReplyDeleteI actually sobbed in the end of the series. The first EVER series to make me cry and I really keep my emotions in check.
ReplyDeleteThis song is so sweet and suits Rue soo much. I just cant wait for the movie to come out.
i cried to death when i read this book and kistened to the song!!!!

Win this land, for my king.
Nothin' here is hinderin'
This spirit in my heart!
I love how happy this version is, the tune in my head was so sad!!
ReplyDeletea little too much autotune but this song puts anyone in a calmed mood.
ReplyDeleteThis song is sung by another person on youtube.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brx3qceMcQE
ReplyDeleteIt is! I don't think this person sung it because the same version on on that website!
DeleteI'm teary eyed...
ReplyDeleteWhen i first heard this song, i started tearing up. i listen to it everyday. by the way it is on Youtube with autotune and without.it is very calming.i love this song so much. when i finished the books i didn't want it to be over so i read them again to make sure i read all the details.these r the best book i have ever read.i cried a lot when Prim died. i didn't realize she dies at first so i had to go back and read it. ReplyDeleteI have cried so many times because of this song and now i wish that guy from D.1 would have suffered Rue never did anything she just needed help and now shes dead
ReplyDeletethis song makes me sad for rue and her family. stupid marvel just had to spear her. if someone besides district 12 won it should've been 11
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you cant breath!!! Are you obese and lose your breath really easly!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay i'm so confused. I've only read the first book so far, and as far as I know, Rue dies in the first book. But Prim dies too??? and this is really a great song.
ReplyDeleteYess prim dies, in the 3rd book, Mockingjay.
DeleteThis is such a beautiful song.. can't listen to it for too long, it makes me so badly.. <3
ReplyDelete*makes me cry
DeleteSounds like autotune.
ReplyDeleteI love this song so much! I showed this to my choir teacher and she said she loved it and that she will try to get some sheet music so we can sing this in choir :D
ReplyDeleteWhen sang it at the beginning, I almost cried! I could not sing it properly! It made my eyes teary! and reminds me of Rue!
ReplyDeleteYou autotuned a little too much but it was pretty good.

DeleteI absolutely love this song... I cried when Rue died! Stupid Marvel. This song is so beautiful. It gives a great message too.. :'( I love you, Rue!
ReplyDeleteI love this song. You sing it really well. When Rue died, it was the only part of the movie I cried.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a LOT to make me cry (and I'm a 12 year old girl) but I cried reading this in the book, and watching katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) sing it to rue (Amandla)
ReplyDeleteNot quite how I imagined it but still, very beautiful and touching.<3Hunger Games
